Most decks do not need replacing
Singapore sun and rain are hard on outdoor timber. UV turns the surface grey within months, and rain soaks into the end grain. The good news: the damage is usually only skin deep.
A deck that looks finished is often 1–2 mm of weathered fibre on top of sound hardwood. Sanding removes that layer, and a fresh UV oil brings the colour back. Where a board has rotted or split, we replace that board only and match it to the rest.
Replacement makes sense when the subframe has rotted, when more than about a third of the boards have failed, or when you want to switch from timber to low-maintenance composite. We will tell you which one you are looking at before you pay anything.

How do I get a quote for deck repair?

Do you repair both timber and composite (WPC) decks?
Yes. We sand and oil hardwoods such as chengal, balau, merbau and teak, and we clean, refresh and replace boards on composite and WPC decks.
Can you repair my deck instead of replacing it?
Most decks we see can be repaired. If the boards are sound and the subframe is solid, a sand and re-oil plus a few new boards is far less work than a new deck. We only recommend replacement when the frame is rotten or most boards have failed.
How long does a deck repair take?
A typical HDB or condo balcony takes 1–2 days. Larger landed terraces and pool decks take 2–5 days depending on size and weather.
